The Sun Ra Discography.
This is an apparently lost recording from 1965. The sound quality is exceptionally good for a Sun Ra recording and the Free sounding songs are of a very good quality and have caught my ear and impressed. If this is anything to go by Volumes one and two should be worth while obtaining. I can't really describe what is here but it does sound very chaotic as we have come to expect, less of the percussive weirdness like on some of the earlier releases I have covered recently but some quality soloing in amongst the madness. I am enjoying this set very much and rate it 4/5.
