An Uncle Roddus Album review
I am always interested in new interpretations of old time Americana and this album looked even more interesting in the fact that the musicians tackling this music are all of Afro-American extraction. A well recorded and played set with banjo, fiddle, jug and other old time instruments and pretty stripped back and authentic in places. This lot do a very good job of this and deserve the attention they are getting. Again I won't be rushing out to buy this one as I think the latest Nora Jones set with The Little Willies is better and I am looking forward to getting my hands on that CD soon. My rating for this though is 2.5/5
