This mammoth set was reviewed in Uncut a couple of months ago and although it only got 3 stars I was quite keen to check it out. I have other compilations of Bob covers and all have been good. I spotted this at the Warehouse a few weeks back but didn't get it at the time as I was looking for other stuff. I was still keen to get my hands on it and so when the opportunity came up yesterday to pop into the Warehouse I was hoping they still had a copy. I duly arrived home with my copy yesterday after lunch and got to spend the afternoon working my way through its completely full 4 discs. Today I am on my second listen and with an enormous array of diverse talent across many forms of contemporary popular music, makes for a  wonderfully eclectic listening experience. With such a powerful back catalogue of songs to choose from and such a successful pool of musicians involved in this project it should be difficult to go wrong and so far what I hear is a successful project with a bunch of versions of which many will get better as I get familiar with these takes. There are bound to be some duds on a project of this size and with some artists whose music I normally wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, but I haven't as yet heard anything I detest. The best thing of all is that by indulging myself in this cool music I also get to support Amnesty International as all profits go to that wonderful organisation. Rating 4/5.
