An Uncle Roddus Album Review.
Classic Albums from my past.
Sticking with the minimalist approach for this wonderful album, which comprises of a female singer, guitar and organ and bass to propel the songs along. Wonderfully quirky little pop songs enliven this release with plenty of quality ideas to draw us in. A late night album to mellow to and be mesmerises by the lovely guitar licks, bass lines and quirky organ effects, and still sounding good after all these years. The only album from this trio, this statement stands as a totally unique and early example of the post punk scene of the British Isles. The original record, which I had on vinyl, only had 15 tracks and apparently got to No. 20 on the NZ album charts, this CD reissue has an additional 10 tracks from various EPs and singles.Highly recommended and gets a rating of 4.5/5.
