Latest John Zorn CD
Zorn's third release for the year so far and I am slightly disappointed. Harp, Vibes and guitar make up this trio and I'm not all that taken with the harp. Part of the mystic series and it certainly has that feel. It is not a bad release overall, pleasant, mellow and has some nice guitar playing from Frisell and I don't dislike the set overall, it just isn't getting me excited too much. Also I find the resonance from the combination of guitar and Harp not all that relaxing coming from my speakers. Rating 2.5/5.
